Travel Info

Eskers Provincial Park Eskers Provincial Park, north of Prince George, British Columbia, is an exceptional day-use destination where visitors can find a place to relax, appreciate nature and pursue a wide range of recreational interests.

Eskers Provincial Park encompasses 1600 hectares of gently rolling terrain including a portion of the 40 kilometre long Stuart River Eskers Complex. This series of unique landforms are long, sinuous sand and gravel ridges created by ancient glacial meltwaters. This thick layer of soil supports a mixed forest of aspen, lodgepole pine, Douglas fir and some spruce.

This park is home to many small lakes where a wide variety of mammals and birds reside. The diverse nature of this park provides an excellent habitat for animals such as the beaver, moose, deer, black bear, squirrels and abundant waterfowl.

LOCATION
